Among everything else

Another day that begins closer to noon. I’m fighting with my closing eyes while swiping through the phone reading news. This way I get to know what has happened during the hours of my sleep as I prepare myself for the next stage – getting up from the bed. I have already found my own Internet path, where I get about exactly as much as I want. Of course I prefer to read only those things that are useful for me and my everyday life. But whatever I read it somehow always comes down to politics. That is important to me as well, though.

It is fair to say that I mostly read the facts and opinions that suit my point of view and relate to me. Perhaps, that does not help me to get an objective view on what’s happening. Then why don’t I check other sources too? I guess because I just want to read a little and not bother myself with some doubtful or second-rate text. I don’t wish to read into some crap that doesn’t have much interest to me. Or see some ideas that are blown out of proportions, or even worse – a lie. Certainly I don’t want to do this first thing in the morning. And honestly, I’m not too eager to do that in the evening neither…

Most of all, it annoys me when a situation is given from a certain angle and no other way. When I see such, it seems to me that the author might not have chosen the topic, but picked it to please somebody else’s interests. Then, it is not about covering what has happened, rather than trying to get into the people’s minds. On the other hand, an author can also closely believe in what he describes, who knows…

Still, it’s hard for me to accept this reality. How so, can’t we live in a world without narrow-minded selectiveness? Why these days it is so hard to find true and honest facts in the world so full of information? When will we get to the point that news, as well as photography and video in it, are our allies and can be fully and unconditionally trusted?

I can’t say that I know everything or that I’m smarter than everyone else. However, when it comes down to things I produce or if I get to analyse what’s happening in front of me, I always try my best to be as objective as possible. That’s because I do not have any hidden agenda and I do what I sincerely believe in. I think with my own head and I base on my personal experience. I believe that one should always dig deeper, think about the situation from all sides and find the facts among the rest. And if life ever forces me to be a witness of a situation and then describe it to other people, I’m sure that I will not repeat the mistakes of most authors. I will do everything honestly and therefore objectively.
